I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #LF60312435) and a Child Mental Health Specialist in the State of Washington. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I have been working as a therapist since 2009, working with individuals, couples, children, and families for the majority of my clinical experience. I have specialized training in evidenced based practices including Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I am also a Prepare and Enrich facilitator and I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I believe that people, culture, and society can affect how we see and define ourselves. The people we grow up with influence how we see right and wrong. One family could teach their children to always stand up to bullies whereas another family could teach their children to never fight under any circumstance. The types of ideas with which we are brought up with affect our personality and beliefs about the world. This is the context with which I work with families and provide therapeutic support.
When I’m not enjoying my work with people I enjoy reading, being outside, doing crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
